Kirkland Warren pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated murder in the killings of his former girlfriend, Meshay Melendez, and her 7-year-old daughter, Layla Stewart, in March 2023.
Melendez and Stewart had been missing since March 12.
Someone walking a dog found their bodies in a rural area near Washougal, Washington 10 days later.
