A prime number is a whole number greater than 1 whose only factors are 1 and itself. The first ten primes are 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 23, 29. It should be noted that 1 is a non-prime number. Conferring to the definition of prime number, which states that a number should have exactly two factors, but number 1 has one and only one factor. Thus 1 is not considered as a Prime number.
