The High Court of Antigua has ruled in favour of five LIAT pilots who challenged the constitutionality of a section of the Companies Amendment Act, that imposed an automatic stay of proceedings on all matters against the airline company.
This led to a 2015 High Court claim by the pilots, which was set for trial in 2020, being adjourned indefinitely.
Information received through the attorney for the pilots, Ruggles Fergusson, a senior attorney from Grenada, stated the High Court Judge, Justice Robertson, agreed with the key contentions of the pilots.
Speaking to CBC NEWS, one of the pilots in the suit Neil Cave, said he is happy with the ruling.
