Improvement in aerodynamics & fuel efficiency
The complete redesign of the sun visor, air deflectors, bumper, and wheel arches, not only delivers a commanding on-road presence but contributes greatly to an improvement in aerodynamics, fuel efficiency and, ultimately, a bottom line for Australian operators.
30% larger radiator cooling module
Better fuel efficiency is delivered through a range of physical and technological updates.
The new larger grill directs airflow towards the radiator cooling module, which is 30% larger than the existing DAF model range.
Euro 6 MX-13 engine offering 530HP
The new Euro 6 MX-13 engine’s peak power has increased from 510HP to 530HP. While whilst torque has increased by 15%... and when coupled with DAF’s multi-torque strategy, the new Euro 6 engine delivers a further 12% again, right down to as low as 900RPM.
Intelligent powertrain technologies optimise fuel efficiency
Intelligent powertrain technologies such as the latest generation 12 or 16-speed TraXon automated manual transmission have been perfectly integrated to deliver optimal fuel efficiency under any load condition.
Ecoroll reduces fuel consumption
New gearbox ratios have been selected to allow the truck to best utilise engine performance at lower engine speeds, ensuring that the vehicle delivers excellent drivability at lower rpms, while at the same time reducing fuel consumption.
Onboard technologies such as “Ecoroll" use the energy in the rolling truck to maintain road speed rather than fuel via unrequired throttle input.
In-dash technologies to help improve efficiency & bottom line
In-dash technologies such as ‘Driver performance assistant’ assess and rate driver performance in using the vehicle’s potential and provide on-dash feedback and audible advice to improve their rating and improve the bottom line for owners.
