The chapter of "Homeboy" is closed! Zack first had an encounter with this deer in November of 2022. He was almost able to get it done on a spot and stalk mission in his hay field. Fast forward to the summer of 2023 and Zack is all in on this giant. Homeboy grew a unique drop tine and was all over the cams. Zack put in a plot specifically for this deer hoping to catch him slipping one time going after food. All of October was full of Homeboy on the cams using multiple scrapes giving Zack the info he needed to make a move. On November 2nd Zacks cell cam blew up every hour with Homeboy strolling past hot on a doe. Zack manages to slip in and get in the action. As the evening goes by with multiple bucks coming and going searching for the hot doe in the area, Homeboy finally decides to show himself. He was all worked up showing his dominance snort wheezing at the other bucks in the area. Finally, a lonely doe gets too close, and Homeboy decides to leave his hot doe and push the other away. Zack found himself with a 25 yard opportunity on the buck he dedicated his season to!
