Using well-researched statistics, Maryam alarms us of the necessity to close the gender wage gap in Canada. She encourages us to step up and take action to promote gender equality. Maryam Balaa is no stranger to speaking and voicing her opinions. She has won the 2018 public speaking contest for Grades 4,5 and 6 and she wishes to deliver her thoughts on issues regarding the gender wage gap in Canada.
