The Metro Transit Blue Line is one of 2 light rail lines in the twin cities of Minnesota. The system operates with a mix of Bombardier Flexity Swift "Type I" cars and Siemens S70/S700 family "Type II" and "Type III" cars. Connecting MSP Airport to downtown and the Mall of America, the Blue Line is vital to the twin cities. One of the 2 stations connecting to the airport is also the only underground station in the system.
