Jakov Basic plays for NK Zagreb Juniors, in all white, playing left center back and wearing jersey #5 but with shorts #15. Left footed player. FIRST HALF (first 20 minutes).

Characteristics: elegant, intelligent, leader. Verbal and commanding team player with strong distribution passing and possession passing skills. Anchors team. Can be quite demanding of teammates. Very coachable and follows tactics/strategies. Technically proficient. Strong at winning balls in air and ground. Very good at head passing. Physical when needed. Does not cause many fouls in his defensive half. Recovers very well. Likes to attack when able. Comes forward always on corner kicks and indirect free kicks for scoring opportunities with head.

Strong academic - "B" average with aptitude for science and mathematics. Like horses and nature study/biology. Interests are American Western Heritage (cowboys, horses, ranches, farms, natural areas).

NK Zagreb is one of the top youth academies in Zagreb, Croatia. It is not easy to remain there as a junior and Jakov is a key player.
