1. Go to the nearest petrol station and park your car next to the air pressure machine.
2. Locate your car's ideal tyre pressure in the manual, car tyre, a plate located on the drivers side of the door, or sometimes it is located on a sticker on the drivers side of the front window screen.
3. Put in the ideal tyre pressure into the machine. (Some machines are not automatic and require you to watch a pressure dial and stop filling tyres when at desired pressure).
4. Unscrew the valve on the tyre and keep the cap in a safe place.
5. Unreel the pump hose and place onto valve and fill the tyre with air until the pump makes a 'ding' sound. (This means the tyre is at the pressure you entered into the machine).
6. If using the older machine keep an eye on pressure gauge and release the leaver when at ideal pressure.
7. *Optional step* Some people choose to place a bit of their saliva over the valve on the tire to check if any air is coming out (the saliva will typically bubble and you will be able to clearly identify if there is any air being released).
8. once you have identified that the valve is sealed, screw the cap back on and you are on your way.
9. Complete with the rest of the tyres on the car.
