In this video, we will discuss the pathology of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia. Cervical intraepithelial neoplasia or CIN is characterized by presence of dyspalstic cells in transformation zone of cervix, without invasion of basement membrane. CIN can be classified as CIN1, CIN2, and CIN3; based upon the degree of dysplasia. Alternatively, cervical intraepithelial neoplasia can be classified as LSIL (low grade squamous intraepithelial lesion) or HSIL ( high grade squamous intraepithelial lesion).
