The first of the crossings for our train - YPR-Karwar Exp. - happened at Thippasandra. The Hassan-YPR express crossed us with WDP4 #20042 in charge. It had eight Deen Dayalu coaches in its fleet. It then went up a mild gradient and into a tunnel. This station on the new Bangalore-Hassan route via Kunigal-Shravanabelagola route which opened only in March 2017.
