The Treehouse Apprenticeship Program partners with community organizations to find, train, and support talented local individuals for Engineering and Design teams—all while maintaining inclusion standards that match the diversity of the USA. We open the door for those traditionally underrepresented in tech, enabling them to pursue dreams, build generational wealth, and enrich the world.
Meet Jessica, a QA Engineer at Vacasa who was placed through the Treehouse Apprenticeship Program. When Jessica first heard about the Treehouse Apprentice program she was worried it wasn’t for her.
“I thought people who learned to code had to be really good at math,” she said. She also didn’t know any other females who worked in the tech industry and assumed that it would be tough for her to break into such a male-dominated field.
After completing six months of intensive training with Treehouse she’s now a QA Engineer at Vacasa, one of the country’s leading vacation rental companies and has a clear career ladder to climb.
“My team are amazing, supportive people. I look forward to work now, it's the most fulfilling job I’ve ever had. I was so worried that I wouldn’t be good enough, that my peers wouldn’t treat me with respect but I was so wrong.”
