The Links is the number 1 rated golf course in South Africa and is simply a masterpiece designed and constructed by Gary Player. He has produced a Scottish links course with wetlands, rolling dunes, fairway humps and traditional pot bunkers in an amazing feat of earthmoving and landscaping on what was previously a completely flat piece of land. There is a certain mystique about The Links - you cannot visit the course until it is your time to play - and this adds to the drama when one arrives. It feels special - from the clubhouse and proshop to the single malt scotch greeting on the first tee to the dedicated caddies to the halfway house and a sit down specially prepared lunch to the end of round cold towels and refreshing juice at the back of the 18th green. The course itself is sublime. A fantatstic test of golfing ability in immaculate condition and just a joy to play. This is a round that you don't want to end. The overall experience at The Links is simply one of the best that golf has to offer.
