Mirchyanchi Bhaji is a famous traditional dish of Buldana district of Maharashtra.
It is a special type of tuvar/arhar dal curry cooked in a very
different style with green chilly.
It is a very famous & liking dish of Buldana district native people.
Also, It is cooked in large scale on bone fire for get together or
other common functions.
This tasty dish can be served with jowar bhakri, wheat chappati,
rice and Lemon and enjoyed along with raw salad like onion, tomato & radish

Ingredients :
.1 cup tuvar /arhar dal (Red gram)
. spicy green chilly slices as per taste
.1 chopped onion
.2 tbsp dry coconut slices
.2 tbsp pea nuts(ground nuts)
.2 tbsp crushed peanuts
.2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
.1 tbsp garam masala
.1 tbsp cumin seeds
.1 tsp mustard seeds
.1 tsp turmeric powder
.4 tbsp oil
.chopped coriander leaves
.salt as per taste
.1/2 lemon
. water
Method:
1 Take the tuvar/arhar dal in cooker pot and wash it 2 times with
water..
2 Add green chilly slices and peanuts,also add 2 cup water for 1
cup dal
3 Pressure cook dal till 3 whistle on high flame and 10 minutes
on low flame.
4 Meanwhile shallow fry chopped onion by adding little oil,and
keep aside.
5 when pressure cooker cool down, blend the cooked tuvar/arhar
dal by adding some hot water to form smooth mixture.
6 Heat oil in a pan , add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. when it
crackled add dry coconut slices.
7 Then add ginger garlic paste and saute it till color change to
light brown.
8 After that add fried onion ,crushed peanuts ,and saute for 1/2
minutes.
9 Add 1/2 tbsp garam masala now ,turmeric powder,some
chopped coriander leaves and saute it.
10 Add blended dal mixture in it . Adjust medium consistency of
dal by adding hot water.
11 Add salt ,remaining 1/2 tbsp garam masala and lemon juice
in dal and allow to boil it for 2 minutes.
12 Mirchynchi bhaji is ready ,garnish with chopped coriander l
leaves.
14 serve hot with jowar bhakari,wheat roti,rice.
15 Enjoy this tasty traditional dish with lots of row salad and
mango pickle.
Tip :
1 Remove green chilly before blending if you wants less spicy
dal.
2 Do not use masala containing red chilly powder it will spoil
color and taste of dal.
