What's up, everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be checking out this Blaylock EZ wheel lock. So it's gonna go on the wheel of our flatbed Big Tex trailer. Let's check it out. A wheel lock is a good option to help keep your trailer safe when you're not around. This in combination with a gooseneck coupler lock would be just a good idea that if anybody walks around the front, they'll see it's locked up, and they come around here and see this, they know that the wheel isn't gonna turn, so they won't even bother.
Let's go to a different trailer. How it works is we have the lock down here, we'll remove that. (metal clanging) The arms open up, you'll put it around your tire. So it can go all the way up to 20 inches and as little as 15 inches fit on tires. You have these holes you line up for how you wanna adjust it.
So let's put it around the tire. The arms will go into the inside wheel. So this is a dual wheel set up. It fits around one wheel just fine. And on the inside, you can see where it's lined up so you can run this through.
Then add our barrel lock on top. Get out the key, and you're done. So we construct out a lightweight aircraft-grade aluminum so it's not heavy to pick up and use or put around your tire. It fits snugly around there. You see, with it latched into place, it's not gonna be able to be removed.
Here's the etrailer wheel lock for comparison. This one stands out quite a bit more because it's got the yellow. We also have the hand grip. It's got rubberized arms here so when you do put it around the tire, it's less likely to scratch it up, if that's something you're worried about. What I like about this one is it's got an integrated lock, so I'll unlock it here and show you. It comes out in two pieces. So if you go to put this around the tire, you slide that, one of these holes lines up with the lock, and it's just push button design, push it in, it's locked. Overall, I think this would be a good addition to your trailer. Definitely nice to have anti-theft devices if you're gonna leave it in the parking lot by itself. So this in combination with a coupler lock means that no one's gonna mess with it. They'll just move on to a different trailer. I think that does it. Thanks for hanging out, and I hope this helped.
