Naledo Belize is a social enterprise established by a female entrepreneur with Indian origin, born in Uganda, moved to Canada as a refugee at the age 15 years old and later settled in Belize. She built the enterprise around wild turmeric, an organic product, which comes directly from the forest making it environmentally friendly.
The main product is a paste instead of a powder, which conserves its essential oil that has many health benefits and skin benefits.
The enterprise is now creating employment for youth and enabling growers to earn more income.
