The Shannon River is a great system of lakes linked by the river. 220 miles long and has become most popular for water sports and motor cruising. LS Hodson Bay near Athlone. Low shot boats of all shapes and sizes moored in Hodson Bay. From boat, cruiser leaving Hodson Bay Base River downwards through Lough Ree.
