A surf road trip along the Spanish Atlantic coast, checking Basque Country, Asturias and Cantabria
The last great summer surf trip, before we got to know, how it is to deal with a global pandemic.
Since then things drastically changed, in most places, it’s no longer tolerated to roam the countryside stay for a night in a random parking lot. Wild camping close to the beach is not longer tolerated. Back in the day we could take any wave possible. Sleep in the surf car in front of the surf school, or at a beach parking.
We’re all in this together, sadly some governments use the global crisis to enforce regulations and put new rules in place to shape places and communities new. I hope they’ll still let me take my longboard to surf the Spanish Atlantic coast.
We will continue trying to live this truly free lifestyle whenever the corporate world is letting us escape. Let’s enjoy those free moments, be respectful to nature, the places, the locals, and leave nothing behind!
