JGMCH Medical Superintendent said that as many as 49 are admitted and over 170 patients reported in emergency department. Taking to ‘X’, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee assured supporting affected families and compensation to them. She visited Jalpaiguri to take stock of the situation and also met the victims at the hospital. WB Governor CV Ananda Bose also set up an emergency cell at Raj Bhavan to deal with storm in Jalpaiguri. Further details will follow.
