Stewardship and conservation of farmland and natural spaces in Grey, Bruce and Huron counties requires knowledge of and careful planning in a changing climate. This training session provides background on climate science, data, and the latest climate projections, to help the farming and conservation communities understand possible risks and plan for climate resilience. Key climate risks and opportunities for agriculture will be are reviewed, and participants walk through steps they can take to assess and address vulnerabilities.
The session provides a better understanding of anticipated climate change impacts and hazards directly relevant to participants' sector and region, and offers advice on navigating, accessing and using climate data to support their planning and operations.
