~*Disclaimer*~ "This is purely based on the information I've gathered and the slides I've shown in this video of what we know so far, I do not have a ryzen 7 chip to test and so on." -AFM
This is a commentary piece relaying my points as to why I feel you shouldn't buy the ryzen 7 1800x just yet, or at all. I want to be clear in saying that I think the 1800x is a great cpu, and I'm still considering buying it, I just wish AMD came out with a full swing at intel, and the cpu market. I think AMD's Ryzen 7, 5, and 3 cpu line up could have been priced a lot more aggressively, and I am also disappointed that AMD does not have the Ryzen 5, and Ryzen 3 cpus available for the March 2nd launch. I do not think people should buy the 1800x for a 100 dollars more than the 1700x; when the 1700x performance is so near the 1800x. In one of the slides shown in the video AMD confirms this themselves that the 1700x beat Intel's i7 6900k, not by as much as the 1800x, but there was only a 5% difference between the Ryzen 7 1700x & 1800x in that benchmark. I expected a much bigger gap for the price difference. As always I appreciate the support, feel free to let me know how you feel about it in the comment section below, and I will catch you all in the next one!
