The Book of Deuteronomy is the fifth book of the Christian Old Testament and of the Jewish Torah.

The book consists of three sermons to the Israelites by an elderly and dying Moses on the plains of Moab. The Israelites are standing at the edge of the wilderness, peering into the Promised Land, and Moses is urgently appealing to them to choose life and blessing, rather than death and destruction. In essence To obey God & focusing in God’s promises, turning from the ways of the generation before them, who had squandered God’s grace.
