Edge Browser Extensions - [ Ссылка ]
Video Description
~~~~~
If you've wanted to install extensions or plugins in your web browser on Android then you've likely had to use apps like Firefox, Brave, or even Kiwi. But today I can show you how to install any supported browser extension in Microsoft's Edge browser.
For this to work, though, we must have the Canary build of Edge installed.
We should see this functionality added to the Beta and Stable builds in the future, but it seems the company needs to complete a lot of testing before that can happen.
So go ahead and launch the Edge browser after you have installed the Canary build.
Then we need to dive into the Settings area.
So tap the Hamburger menu icon right here.
And then select the Settings button.
Now we need to enable Developer Mode from within Edge
We do that by tapping on the About section
And then tapping the build number entry until it unlocks Developer Mode for you.
This new menu will be in the regular Settings area
So let's go back to find it.
And then we want to look for the Extension install by id option.
Now, we can find that by first going to the Edge Add-ons page here.
I will be sure to include this link in the video description below so that it's easy for you to find.
From here, locate the extension you would like to install
And then we need to inspect the URL
There will be a long string of characters which are associate with that extension.
So let's copy that long string of letters for this extension
And we can install it from within the Edge Browser in that Developer Mode area that I showed you before.
From what I have read, some of the extensions will work flawlessly right out of the box here.
However, there are other add-ons that will be buggy since they have not technically been updated to run on a mobile device.
So some extensions like Bitwarden should work really well.
But you will need to test your favorite browser extensions to figure out which works work and which ones do not.
And this is where I would like you to help out the community.
Take a moment to test your favorite browser extensions here and then use the comments section to share the results.
Let us know which extensions you tested
Which ones ended up working well
And which ones had some sort of issue.
The more information we have on these extensions the easier it will be for everyone in the Android community to enjoy the ones that work well.
