They’re BACK!
The Chinook salmon we released two years ago have made it home to our Cushman Hatchery at Lake Kokanee.
These kings will go on to become the legacy of the Skokomish River; It will be their eggs that create a spring run here in the North Fork.

These Chinook were raised from stock in the Skagit River before being released by Tacoma Power; a special thank you to the Upper Skagit Indian Tribe, Swinomish Tribal Community, Sauk-Suiattle Indian Tribe, Skokomish Indian Tribe, Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife, Long Live the Kings and many others for their support of this project.
We have a dedicated team of passionate biologists and wildlife techs working every day behind the scenes to make sure wildlife thrives at our hydroprojects. Not just because it’s written into our Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) license, but because our staff wouldn’t have it any other way.
