QPL’s Culture Connection is thrilled to host this conversation with filmmaker Roddy Bogawa and Oscar- and Golden Globe-nominated film producer Orian Williams. They will discuss Bogawa’s new rock documentary “Have You Got It Yet? The Story of Syd Barrett and Pink Floyd” (2023).
Cult icon, enigma, recluse—the life of Syd Barrett, founding member of Pink Floyd, is full of unanswered questions. Piecing together Barrett’s comet-like rise to pop stardom, his creative and destructive impulses, breakdown, exit from the band, and subsequent life alone, “Have You Got It Yet?”—co-directed by award-winning director Roddy Bogawa and the late graphic designer/music video director Storm Thorgerson—features new interviews with Syd’s friends, lovers, and family, as well as bandmates Roger Waters, David Gilmour, and Nick Mason. Our conversation will be moderated by Brian Alessandro.
