WHEC reports on RIT getting national recognition for its contributions to the fight against cyber crime! The National Security Agency and the Depart of Homeland Security have re-certified RIT as a National Center for Excellence in Cyber Defense. That certification means the school can apply for federal grants to boost its information technology programs. Right now, RIT has classes in developing safer software, fighting malware and viruses, and other cyber defense techniques.
