We invite you to watch our ShareLife Speaker Series event, "God Walks with His People: Sharing the Journey with Refugees in Faith" in line with the 110th World Day of Migrants and Refugees which took place on September 29, 2024.
Closed Captions are available.
ShareLife's Jenn Lazo has a heartfelt conversation with Deacon Rudy Ovcjak, Director of the Office for Refugees (ORAT) of the Archdiocese of Toronto, highlighting the real-life darkness families have faced in seeking a brighter future. They discuss the reality for refugees in our community and worldwide, and how our shared faith can make a difference in the lives of newcomers.
This year's theme, God Walks with His People, is beautifully captured in His Holiness Pope Francis' message, where he affirms that "God not only walks with his people, but also within them, identifying himself with the least, the poor, and the marginalized as they journey through history." He also encourages us to "unite in prayer for all those who have had to leave their land in search of dignified living conditions."
