Hey guys, wanted to install windows 11 on my M1 Mac. Followed this guide but got stuck on the step to "Connect to the internet" since windows now requires you to have an internet connection to setup. Nah I found a work around. Enjoy the royalty free music and let me know any questions or thoughts!

Prerequisites:
Download UTM for MAC
Download Spice Tools
Download Windows 11 disc from insider website.

Windows Insider Windows 11 download ARM version:

This video currently shows method 2 for now. Will reupload soon to include both methods in case.


Method 1 (use method 2 if they patch method 1 or if method 1 no longer works)
Steps to install (if you don't wanna watch the video):
1. Login to windows insider and download windows 11 arm.
2. Open UTM, create new VM, (Virtualize)
3. Choose windows Vm, and then the Windows 11 VHDX file you downloaded.
4. If you want a Folder to be shared between guest and host select a folder.
5. Choose memory and cores you'd like the guest to have.
6. Name the VM and start it up.
7. Continue setup until you get to the "Lets get connected screen" this is where the tutorial failed me as it would not let me pass without internet.
8. Press Shift + F10 to open command prompt. (Or FN+ Shift+ F10)
9. Type oobe\bypassnro and press enter, restart virtual machine.
10. New option appears on "Lets get you connectedd to internet screen.

Method 2 (in the event method 1 is patched / has troubles)
Steps to install (if you don't wanna watch the video):
1. Login to windows insider and download windows 11 arm.
2. Open UTM, create new VM, (Virtualize)
3. Choose windows Vm, and then the Windows 11 VHDX file you downloaded.
4. If you want a Folder to be shared between guest and host select a folder.
5. Choose memory and cores you'd like the guest to have.
6. Name the VM and start it up.
7. Continue setup until you get to the "Lets get connected screen" this is where the tutorial failed me as it would not let me pass without internet.
8. Press Shift + F10 to open command prompt. (Or FN+ Shift+ F10)
9. type taskmgr and press enter.
10. Right click on windows explorer (files explorer) and click open file location.
11. In UTM go to the top right corner and click disk drive, and browse to the SPICE iso you downloaded.
12. Spice tools should now appear in files explorer.
13. open spice tools setup and install.
14. VM will reboot, if it is stuck on boot screen exit vm and reboot.
15. Setup will start up again but this time with internet.
16. Continue and setup your windows 11 install!
