These side steps are for entry-level four door Wranglers that didn’t come equipped with a factory side step. These side steps look similar to the factory steps that come on Sahara and some specialty trim models. The Mopar branding ensures a factory like fit and finish, so this is a high-quality modification with a slightly higher price tag. In addition, it’s also important to note that these side steps are mostly plastic and won’t provide any side protection during trail use. Their main function is to provide easy entry and exit when getting in and out of the Jeep.
Heavy-Duty Construction: The substructure of these Mopar side steps is constructed of black powder coated steel, which is then covered in a tough plastic exterior. The steps can support 225+ pounds and offer a textured platform surface for great traction when getting in and out of the Jeep.
Bolt-on Installation: The installation of the Mopar factory style molded side steps is a straightforward bolt-on process. The steps are attached to the Jeep’s pinch seam utilizing the factory mounting points with the provided hardware. There is no drilling or modification needed and the install can be done within one hour with basic hand tools.
