I forgot to say, you need to make sure your sample rates all match up.
If you are listening to 44.1K music, you need to set the sample rate for the sound card to 44.1k, and also the HiFi cable sample rate to 44.1k. Also make sure its set to the right sample rate in EKIO settings.

I'm not sure if you actually need ASIO plugin for Foobar, maybe not
