so i think my favorite houseplant to have in my modern home is a calathea network. its a very cool houseplant, it is easy to take care of, and has a lush and full appearance, and looks great with low and modern furniture. It also thrives in most household conditions.
i've had my Calathea Network, aka Calathea Musaica, for three years, and it just keeps getting better. one of the coolest thing about the foiliage on this houseplant is that its markings actually look like pixels, which is why it is often referred to as a "pixel plant".
these are fun living addition to modern decor, and can really make your minimalist and modern motif pop! the leaves look so contemporary with rich emerald green and chartreuse, which looks good next to grey and black, which are the only colors i ever seem to be around!
