Are you about to throw away the carpet offcuts? Don't! Making doormats from carpeting remnants left from house decorating projects is a very easy and quick job. Not only will it aid in reducing the amount of debris tracked into your home, but saves you money over store-bought alternatives.
There is a few ways to finish the doormat edges to stop them from unravelling. You can go for a carpet binding tape /strip, but because my carpet was synthetic I just melted the edges. If you decide to this, be very careful, though. The good news is some carpets don't need any binding, they simply don't fray at all.
So if are looking for the idea what to do with your unwanted old carpet or some remnants forgotten in the loft, watch my video to see how to turn them into a useful doormat.
