The BTRM introduces a new advisory service for banks: the provision of a “fire drill” simulation exercise for members of a bank’s Board and/or asset-liability management committee (ALCO). The objective is to enable senior executives to be “crisis ready” at the occurrence of any future market stress event. This service offering has been developed in response to lessons learned during the 2020-21 Covid-19 stress and the 2007-09 financial crisis before that.
