The San Francisco Bay and Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta—together, the largest estuary on the west coast—are in peril. Supplying drinking water to 25 million Californians, supporting nearly half of the nation's produce, and sustaining 700 native species, this ecosystem is indispensable.
But more than 90% of its tidal wetlands are gone, leaving it vulnerable to rising sea levels, pollution, and invasive species.
At John Muir Land Trust (JMLT), we refuse to stand by. Through our Bay Delta Campaign, we're restoring critical habitats, protecting lands at risk, and ensuring the survival of this fragile ecosystem.
