I've been wanting to try out a cushion foundation for a while. So when Maybelline's Dream Cushion Foundation hit the stores I had to grab one.

What is a cushion foundation? It is a portable compact that has a sponge soaked in liquid foundation. You apply it with the provided applicator in a circular patting motion. It is supposed to give you a fresh, dewy finish.

This one gives a very dewy finish. I really liked the way it looked on my dry skin. But I wouldn't recommend it for someone with oily skin. I needed a good dose of powder to set the foundation in place.

Also, because it is such a dewy, almost wet, finish it needs to be touched up through the day.

The biggest disappointment with this for me is that there are only 8 shades available. That is a very low range for today's standards I think.
