In this video, we cover the peculiar fascination that rainwater can actually harm your fish or other pond wildlife.
Believe me or not, this is quite a big debate among the fish pond keepers or so called
"koi pond experts" in the UK especially.
Rainwater has different parameters to the usual "fishy environment" however this will usually only take into effect when large amounts of rainwater have displaced or removed current matured water conditions causing a "shock" to the resident fish stocks which in very rare instances could cause death amongst stocks.
We are relating to normal rainfall conditions which happen all the time and present no danger to any fish in any UK pond. There may be an odd occurrence where this could cause a problem but luckily it is extremely rare.
Please watch the video to hopefully cover all aspects and we hope you enjoy keeping keeping pond fish and that the minority hs not put you off.
