Panasonic GH5S 4K Video Test
I always been a big fan of a GH series cameras. I personally owed GH3, GH4 and the GH5. As I’m a filmmaker, Panasonic is the only brand that listen to most of their users. Such as 4K 60p, 10 Bit Colour and Super High Bitrate. GH5 was one of my favorited camera. Their colour science has improved a lot over the GH4. And the 4K is just amazing. But there was one thing made me keep using my Sony. The low light performance. Micro Four Thirds never been good in lowlight. As I do Wedding the most, lowlight is quite important to me. So when Panasonic announced the GH5S. I was excited. The new 10 Megapixels with 1.86x crop made the lowlight performance to a next level. With the Metabones speedbooster, it turns the sensor from 1.86x crop to 1.1x crop. Its almost the full frame field of view. But there is one big down side. The in body image stabilzation is now gone. For me, I use a lot of IS lenses. So its not a big deal for me. But its also good to have the IBIS. Especially when shooting with primes.
Over all, I was very impressed with the lowlight performance. It is such a good camera. I never thought I could shoot high ISO with my MFT camera on the street.
