A cooperative effort of the Johnson Center administrative staff, this webinar will teach attendees the language of insurance and give them the tools they need to cut through the fine print of understanding their insurance coverage. We will discuss the different types of insurance available on the market, common terminology used by insurance carriers and care providers, how to read a sample bill and Explanation of Benefits, and provide a step-by-step guide to calling your insurance company to determine your coverage. Attendees will learn the language to use and questions to ask their insurance company, care providers, and human resource departments. We will also discuss your coverage rights and the process for appealing a denied claim.
