Academy Color Encoding System or ACES is the industry standard for managing color throughout the life cycle of a motion picture or television production. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which is generally known as the Oscars, has introduced this TV and film industry-standard to streamline and standardize the color grading workflows during the whole process of making films and TV shows. Film studios and their coloring teams are starting to adopt the standard little by little and in near future, it can have great effects on the industry and what is considered "accepted" motion pictures.
