Dashain is a 10 day Hindu festival and on the 8th day animals are sacrificed to keep the goddess Kali happy. This seamed very interesting to me when I first learnt about this festival whilst trekking Everest Base Camp so I found out more about why this happens. During the sacrifices all of the meat gets eaten afterwards and this is what the Nepalese people were most excited about, eating good food with their families in the regions of Kathmandu and Bhaktapur I hope this video offers an insight into this very interesting (yet controversial) festival and I hope I conducted this video respectfully and educationally.
