Construction is finally underway on the Eastern Bypass in Nairobi, marking the start of a Sh12.5 billion project to upgrade the 28-kilometre road into a dual carriageway. The contractor is on site with construction work now underway at Utawala in Embakasi.
Eastern Bypass, which is under by the Kenya Urban Roads Authority, starts at City Cabanas via Ruai towards Ruiru passing over Thika Road and joining the Northern Bypass.
