This video shows Surajkund 10th century reservoir. As the name itself suggests, it was built in the tenth century by King Suraj Pal of Faridabad. This king worshipped Sun and so made a lake for the Sun God. The word Suraj means Sun and Kund means artificial reservoir or lake. It is an empty reservoir . The entry ticket is INR 25 per head and the parking is free. There is ample parking space to park your vehicle at free of cost. It is situated in the Surajkund Tourist Resort , Faridabad. It had some major repair work done in the year 1920 during the British era. Every year , in the first two weeks of February, there is International Craft Mela that is held here in Surajkund Ground.
