Terrorism remains a grave threat to international peace and security and therefore to the security of NATO member nations. Countering this threat is essential and requires a concerted international response.
NATO has a broad counter-terrorism strategy focused on maintaining a strong awareness of the threat, strengthening the Alliance’s capabilities to deal with the challenge posed by terrorism, and engaging with partners and international organisations.
