A 13 mile walk from Cawthorne Roman Camp. The route heads to Cropton and then continues south along the eastern edge of the River Seven valley side to Sinnington. From Sinnington the route crosses the River Seven and then follows the river north to Appleton-le-Moors stopping off on route to view the Sun Seven (ford crossing). From Appleton-le-Moors the route then heads east to Appleton Mill Farm before returning to Cropton and visiting the old motte and bailey castle before continuing back to Cawthorne Roman Camp
