Turkish archer Oznur Cure Girdi, 26, emerged as a para archery star at the Paris 2024 Paralympics. She broke the compound women's world record in the ranking round, scoring over 700, and maintained her excellent form throughout the elimination rounds. Oznur secured her first Paralympic gold by defeating Iran's Fatemeh Hemmati 144-141 in the final. After a tied first end, Oznur pulled ahead, consistently shooting 10s and nines to gain a 3-point lead before the final end, ultimately confirming her dominance and securing victory.
