Hi everyone! I am Vanessa Zhou, a 10th-grader from China. Growing up immersed in an Asian and western environment, I have always found the clashes between values intriguing, namely the perception of success. It not only shapes our goal for life, but also determines how we approach the inevitable hardships that will confront us in life. Yet, what is - if there is any - the “correct” definition of success? Is it a culmination of long-term efforts, or defined by a singular fateful moment of judgment? In this talk, I want to discuss the notion of how we can reevaluate our understanding of success to better recuperate from failure. Vanessa Zhou is a 10th-grader from China. She attends the Western Academy iof Beijing. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at [ Ссылка ]
