I go over how to setup Storage Spaces tiering on window 10 so that I can have a large volume backed by SSDs and HDDs. For my setup I use 2x Sun F40 SSDs and 4x 2TB HDDs in a simple or raid 0 setup for the best performance. This type of setup seems suited well for something like a steam game drive where a large drive that's a good compromise between speed and cost would be a good fit.
