The idea of purifying consciousness is a theme that runs throughout Carl Jung's Red Book . He begins the Red and Black Book entries returning to his soul, purified, without realizing the other in him that is in need of purification. That other being the Self.
Purification is a process that many are longing for in today's times. Unfortunately, it has been mistaken for perfection and holiness. But, as Jung says, what is holy is both good and evil. Positive vibes only doesn't help one truly purify consciousness, rather weaves one's consciousness into another illusion.
This video dives into purification, and the wholeness that is represents. Topics discussed include the Jungian psyche, the Self, the EGO, the personal unconscious, the collective unconscious, fate & providence, illusion or maya, shadow work, perception, libido, temptations, transcendental function, and much more.
