In 2014, I camped at the Indian Creek Campground on the shore of Lake Owyhee, near the Oregon-Idaho border. Amazed by the beauty of the Owyhee Canyonlands, I took video of my drive back out to Nyssa, but I was never happy with the raw footage so I never posted it... Well, in the intervening years, I've learned a video editing trick or two, and am finally happy with what I was able to do with the video.
If you ever have a chance to go to Lake Owyhee State Park, do it. Just the drive to the campground is glorious... it's an unstriped 1.5-lane road that begins with a sign reading "no road signs next 15 miles" and a tunnel maybe 9 feet wide, so you have to pay attention. Owyhee Lake Rd. runs right next to the Owyhee River and features abundant deer, rabbits, anglers, and some of the most beautiful canyon views you will ever experience. Visiting this lake was my main inspiration for buying a kayak, and I hope at some point to return and experience the lake more fully, from the water...
