In response to the ongoing war in Ukraine and rising security concerns in Europe, NATO has deployed Patriot missile defense systems to Slovakia. This effort, led by a Dutch-German Air and Missile Defence Task Force near Sliač Air Base, reinforces NATO’s deterrence and defense posture on the eastern flank. These Patriot systems are part of the NATO Integrated Air and Missile Defence System (NATINAMDS), providing 24/7 vigilance and bolstering NATO’s ability to protect its airspace from any threats.
